From Monday 7/12 to Friday 7/16 Operations Lt. Ryan Clancy, FF/EMT Chris Querry, FF/EMT Jason Mayer (Sponsored by Clinton Fire Dept.) and former member Sarah Raper (Sponsored by Whitehouse Emergency Squad) attended the Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings (IRTB) Class at New Mexico Tech Energetic Materials Research and Training Center in Socorro, NM. Class participants reviewed the response protocols for terrorist bombing incidents, how certain types of devices are made, how those devices actually explode and interact with the environment. This class is funded by FEMA and Homeland Security which allows participants to take the class without paying out of pocket. Thank you to all the members that gave up their week to expand their knowledge to respond to these type of incidents. Attached below is a video that shows all the institutes that allow first responders to take classes with federal grant funding.
