Apply as a Volunteer Member of South Branch Emergency Services and be part of a team that saves lives!
No experience is necessary - if you have the will to help, we will show you the way. Training is reimbursed for volunteers.
South Branch formed in July 2020 with the merger of Clinton First Aid & Rescue Squad and High Bridge Emergency Squad - two organizations with long histories of providing essential medical and emergency services to the community. Volunteer members of the organization support the core missions of the organization, from EMS to Education.
There are many ways to serve, and volunteers are needed in all categories:
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide immediate care to the ill and injured and transport the patient to the hospital. Volunteer EMTs are required 28 hours a month of volunteer, in station time. New volunteers have up to 2 years to complete their EMT training program
Cadets are our youngest volunteers, ages 14-15 (Cadet Corps), and ages 16-17 (Active Cadets). Cadets receive mush of the same training and serve in many of the same ways as our other volunteers, and can quickly become full-duty members at age 18.
Rescue Associates are EMTs or Firefighters who also request people from life-threatening or hazardous circumstances, such as being trapped in a vehicle after an accident.
Water Rescue Associates use specialized skills to rescue people during water-related emergencies, such as boating accidents or floods.
Associate Members are non-riding members who support our administrative or fund raising duties
