New Member Resources

WELCOME TO SBES!!!   We understand that a lot of information has just been thrown at you and this could be very overwhelming.  Our hope is that this page will have the answers to many of the questions you may.  The most important thing to remember is if you don't know something, ask!  Our officers and members are very passionate about our organization and look forward to sharing that with you.

Respiratory Protection
As part of your on-boarding process, you must be medically cleared to wear certain types of Respiratory Protection (masks) to protect you if needed. To complete this process, you’ll need to receive a 16 digit log in # from the Chief ([email protected]). When you obtain that number, visit https://www.respexam.com/login.asp. Complete the appropriate questionnaire for:
  • EMS: Particulate Mask N95 for BLS/EMS
  • RESCUE: Both Particulate and SCBA

The answers to your questions will be reviewed by a contracted Physician. SBES will never have access to your medical records. We will only receive a medical clearance, or a referral for further follow-up. Should you need further follow-up, you will be contacted back directly by the Physician, and a referral to the Squad’s medical provider will be given to you.
